who we are
We're a community of professional screenwriters, voice actors, sound designers and composers founded by Paul Knauer.  At Crooked Stories Theater, longtime veterans work alongside aspiring newcomers, creating engaging audio stories that resonate with people of all ages. We work with artists of diverse backgrounds, giving them a voice, a platform, an opportunity to explore their talents, make mistakes, learn and grow.

True to our name, every story features some type of twist — a surprising plot turn, fun spin on a genre or an unexpected ending. Above all, we are human-powered. Each audio story reflects the vulnerabilities, experiences and imperfections that come with being human.
what we do
Crooked Stories Theater is an audio-only, storytelling podcast of primarily episodic, scripted content across multiple genres, including light horror, dramedy, sitcom, sci-fi and more. Our most successful stories will be expanded into full series projects arcing over multiple years, allowing our teams to explore deeper levels of storytelling with beloved characters.

Our Plan
